What is Hellcase?

The latest CS2 update brought about a fresh wave of skins, giving players more ways to customize their loadouts. The Spring Forward update on March 31, in particular, introduced four weapon sets in the weekly drop pool, a refreshed Armory Pass, plus the Fever Case. This new case features 18 community-designed skins and Shattered Web knives with Chroma custom finishes. CS2 players are now looking for the best ways to add these skins to their in-game collections. That’s where a case-opening platform like Hellcase comes in.

“Hellcase was created by CS2 gamers, for CS2 gamers.”

What is Hellcase?

Hellcase is a platform for CS2 case openings that launched back in 2015. The platform features a variety of ways for players to deal with skins, including classic and custom cases, case battles, an upgrader, and contracts. Beyond case openings, Hellcase also features giveaways, special events, FACEIT tournaments, and its own Hellcup tournament series, which has seen participation from teams like Natus Vincere (NAVI).

The platform is a key part of the CS2 ecosystem. It distinguishes itself by providing features beyond what Valve offers. The Provably Fair feature is what makes Hellcase stand out in the mechanics of case opening as well.

“What makes us stand out is credibility,” a Hellcase representative told esports.gg. “The industry has changed several times in the last decade, and we’re still on top of the mountain for our transparency and trustworthiness, which is not something you can just white on the website. It was achieved by hard work. It can sound like a cliché, but Hellcase was created by CS2 gamers, for CS2 gamers, and following customers’ needs and market trends is still our top priority.”

Hellcase caters to anyone who’s interested in CS2 cases and skins, and with a wide range of features, it can appeal to a global audience rather than any specific segment.

Hellcase’s growth over the years

Since its launch in 2015 as a specialized service, Hellcase has grown into a bigger platform to meet the needs of a global audience. This growth includes reaching 1 million cases opened in 2016, launching the inaugural Hellcup tournament known as “Hellcase Cup 1” at the time, and introducing case battles in 2017. By 2018, Hellcase surpassed 100 million cases opened, and in 2020, it expanded further with the launch of its FACEIT hub.

More recent achievements include the 2021 release of the Provably Fair system, surpassing 10 million registered users, and reaching 500 million cases opened alongside Hellcup 10 and Hellcup 11 in 2024.
