Sam Dickinson – OHL, London Knights
Dickinson is dominating in London with 91 points through 55 games. He’s a +64 and logs heavy minutes on the blue line.
The 6-foot-3 defenseman has chipped in 29 goals and 62 assists, with 39 penalty minutes to match his edge.
San Jose selected him 11th overall in the 2024 NHL Draft.
Shakir Mukhamadullin – AHL, San Jose Barracuda
In 2023-24, he posted 34 points in 55 games for the Barracuda with a +3 rating. This season with the ‘Cuda, he had 9 assists, -6 rating, and 6 PIM in 21 games.
Mukhamadullin played 30 games for the Sharks, recording two goals, seven assists and a -7 rating.
He last played April 1 vs. Anaheim, scoring once with four shots and 15:16 of ice time.
Suffering an upper-body injury, he was ruled out for the remainder of the season on April 7. Before that, he skated over 20 minutes in four games straight, a workhorse for San Jose’s top defensive pair.
Luca Cagnoni – AHL, San Jose Barracuda
The 5-foot-9 20-year-old defenseman was drafted 123rd overall by San Jose in 2023.
Cagnoni played five NHL games this season, contributing one assist and a -4 rating. He last appeared March 30 in an 8-1 loss to the Kings, logging 16:41 ice time. In that game, he had 2 shots, 2 PIM, but no points.
The 20-year-old defenseman is 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, and plays bigger than his frame suggests. With the Barracuda, Cagnoni has 14 goals, 35 assists and averages 17:37 time on ice.
Andrew Poturalski – AHL, San Jose Barracuda
The 31-year-old center is 5-foot-10 and plays a leadership role in the AHL. In March, Poturalski earned AHL Player of the Month with 22 points in 12 games.
This season, he has 30 goals, 43 assists and a +6 rating in 59 games with the Barracuda.
He played three NHL games this season, logging one assist with limited minutes.
Previous NHL stints include two games each with the Seattle Kraken and the Carolina Hurricanes.
Quentin Musty – AHL, San Jose Barracuda (Formerly OHL, Sudbury Wolves)
The 6-foot-2 winger was drafted 26th overall in 2023 and brings heavy skill from the left side.
The 19-year-old racked up 30 goals and 29 assists in just 33 games with Sudbury this season.
From New York, Musty once played for the Buffalo Jr. Sabres‒just like Poturalski. Musty also represented the U.S. at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup and USA-S17 programs.
Last year, he posted 102 points and a +19 rating in 53 games, earning OHL First All-Star honors.
Musty practiced with the Barracuda Tuesday and may debut in the AHL playoffs.
Igor Chernyshov – OHL, Saginaw Spirit
Chernyshov is torching the OHL with 55 points in 23 games for Saginaw, including 19 goals and 36 assists. The 6-foot-3 winger is a two-way threat with size and play-driving ability.
San Jose drafted him 33rd overall in 2024 after strong seasons with MHK Dynamo in the MHL. He’s improved every year‒28 points in 22 MHL games last season, 38 in 38 the year before.
Originally from Russia, Chernyshov plays a high-effort, high-impact game.
San Jose’s rebuild has a real foundation. The Sharks could be an even more exciting team to watch in just a couple of years.
From juniors to the AHL, Team Teal’s pipeline looks like it’s trending upward.
Several prospects could make noise with late-season debuts, especially with the AHL playoffs just around the corner.
