This Act 3 walkthrough for The Alters covers Days 53 to the end, guiding you through the final stretch of Jan’s journey. You’ll explore the last map zone, uncover the Rebels’ base, and build key structures like the Materializer Module and Fragmenting Device. Infrastructure becomes critical as you prepare the Ark Sarcophagus and face rising environmental threats. Major storylines conclude, including the arcs of the Technician, Miner, and Scientist. You’ll also climb the Internal Tree—Jan’s emotional reckoning—and navigate the final choices. With the end in sight, every decision counts. This guide helps you finish strong, with purpose and clarity.
Day 53: Exploring Act 3 Map
As the day begins, take stock of your resources. If you’re rushing through Act 3, it’s likely your team is smaller after the recent defections. With limited manpower, shift your focus to exploration and completing priority missions quickly. Make sure to upgrade your suit—especially the Luminator modules—as these are crucial now.
Most of your base will be malfunctioning, and Organics will be running low. When the Scientist asks to talk, find him and listen—he’ll share concerns about his research and not receiving proper credit. You’ll also want to build another Workshop to craft key equipment fast.

When prompted, choose the dialogue option “Jan S. Dolski.” Ask about the TUR vehicle signal. Then, assign tasks for the day and head to the Comms Room to speak with Maxwell—the conversation will be unsettling.
After that, add four Automatic Outposts to the production queue and head outside. Once on the map, begin by moving south. Expect to encounter anomalies—deal with them as needed. Look for the Organics deposit, clear nearby threats, and search for a suitable outpost site.
If rocks block your path, add a Drill to the queue and harvest from a nearby shallow deposit while it’s being built. Once the Drill is ready, use it to clear the blockage—be prepared for more anomalies beyond it.

After clearing the area again, set up the Outpost. For the Pylon connection, place one on the ledge near the large tree-like structure, then drop down and connect it to the main hub to complete the chain.
Spend the rest of the day collecting Organics. Return to base by 19:30, talk to the Miner in the kitchen, and call it a night.
Day 54 : The Rebel Base
With only three Alters left and morale low, start the day by checking in with each one. Keeping their spirits up will help maintain working hours. Your main objective today is to locate the missing team members. Assign tasks accordingly and prepare for exploration.
Head southeast once you’re ready to leave the base.
Soon, you’ll spot tire tracks from the TUR vehicle. Move cautiously—visibility is poor and the area is filled with anomalies. Stick to the left until you encounter a prism anomaly, then continue until you hit a dead end.

Take the branching path to the right, pass a shallow metal deposit, then turn left. You’ll soon discover the rebel camp.
Speak with the Technician there, then keep heading left to find a suitcase containing a movie titled “Aliens Have Finally Responded.” After that, double back and harvest both the metal and organic deposits you passed earlier.
Return to the prism anomaly, destroy all three cores, and continue left to reach the metal deposit. Here, you’ll also find a Time Dilation anomaly—destroy it.

You’ll come across a rock blockage protecting the deepest part of the deposit, but without enough pylons, outposts, or a drill, you won’t be able to access it yet. Mark it for later.
On a ledge above, locate another suitcase containing a “Self Made Mug.”
Before heading back, mine the shallow metal deposit. Once at the base, speak with the Scientist about the TUR vehicle and the prism anomaly, then wrap up the day.
Day 55 : The Beacon
Start the day by checking the production queue—make sure the Beacon is crafting, as it’ll take around four in-game hours to complete. Your main goal today is to set up an Automatic Outpost at the metal deposit. Assign tasks to your Alters, then head out.
Move toward the metal deposit and clear the rock blockage just south of it. Once the path is open, build the outpost.
Next, connect the Pylon from this new outpost to the existing high-ground Pylon near the Organics deposit to maintain energy flow.

Before continuing, harvest metal from a nearby shallow deposit, then start making your way across the map toward the Beacon placement site.
When you arrive, you’ll likely encounter signal interference blocking the placement. Explore the area for shallow metal deposits to gather extra resources—but if you can’t find any, don’t waste too much time.
Once it’s clear you can’t proceed further for now, return to base and regroup for the next phase.
Day 56 : Setting up Infrastructure
With a magnetic storm incoming, start by stocking up on Radiation Filters and Repair Kits. If you have a Planetary Sample left, use it to research Free Climbing—you’ll want the extra battery efficiency.
Next, speak with the Miner, who’ll assign the task “The Wood and the Sculptor.” Then check in with the Scientist. He’ll request research on Beacon Blockade, but hold off on that for now.
Your priority today is setting up an Automatic Outpost at the Enriched Metal deposit. Head north.
Clear the rock blockage when you arrive, then build the outpost. Connect the Pylons as needed to power the site.

Afterward, move toward the mineral deposit. Clear out all Anomalies in the area to make it safe.
Set up another Automatic Outpost, but if you’re short on Pylons, mine a nearby shallow deposit to cover the deficit.
Return to base and queue up two more Pylon packages for production the following day.
You’ll then receive a call from Lucas—the conversation ends with you encouraging him to start thinking independently. With nothing more to do for the night, wrap up the day and get some rest.
Day 57 : Supply package for the Rebels
The day starts with just five in-game hours before the magnetic storm hits, so act fast. Stock up on Radiation Filters and Repair Kits, then head to the Refinery to begin processing Enriched Metal into usable metal.
As soon as the storm hits, reassign everyone to base maintenance. Keep one Alter in the Workshop to continue producing essential items like Rad Filters and Repair Kits.

Next, begin assembling the Supply Package for the Rebels to progress the task “The Aftermath.”
With things stabilizing, spend some time working in the Kitchen to maintain your food reserves.
Once everything’s handled, end the day.
Day 58 : Building the Fragmenting Device
Begin the day by setting up your production queue, then head out to connect the Minerals deposit and deliver the Supply Package to the Rebels. Once the connection is live, meet with the Technician.
He’ll assign you the task “The Longest Day,” which requires connecting their Pylon to your network. You’ll need a Drill Cartridge and a lot of Pylons to make it happen.

To support the Rebels, prepare to share 120 Metals, 80 Minerals, and 40 Rapidium. If you’ve completed Beacon Blockade research, head back to base.
On the way, check near the Rapidium deposit—you’ll find an unusual rock tied to “The Wood and the Sculptor.”
Once back, speak with the Scientist about the Barrier. This unlocks the task “Sky’s the Limit,” where you’ll need to find and expose three interference sources.
Start by heading to the Organics deposit and use the Luminator. The second source is in the field leading to the Rebel base, and the third is farther out, but reachable. Use the Luminator on each.
After exposing all three, return to base and check in with the Scientist. Now, begin research on the Materializer Module and queue production for the Fragmenting Device.
End the day by repairing a Workshop, then turn in for the night.
Day 59 : Ending the Technician’s and the Miner’s Story
Start the day by heading to the Workshop to craft the Fragmenting Device. Once that’s underway, do a quick shift at the Refinery to convert all your ALX into usable metal.
With enough resources finally gathered, go meet the Technician to complete the Rebel supply task “The Longest Day.” This will wrap up the Technician’s storyline.

On your way back, find the Miner and give him the wood and chisel, completing his storyline as well.
If Materializer Module research is done but you’re still short on Minerals, hold off on building it.
With no pressing tasks left, end the day early.
Day 60 : Materializer and two more Rapidium Arks
Start Day 60 by building the Materializer, now that you have enough resources. Once it’s complete, head over to it—the Scientist will be waiting.
He’ll brief you on the upcoming mission, so begin preparations immediately. Stock up on Radiation Filters, Repair Kits, and Batteries to ensure you’re fully equipped.
Next, build two additional Rapidium Arcs to finish the associated task.

Shortly after, you’ll receive a call from Lucas. Once the conversation ends, there’s nothing urgent left to handle.
With everything in place for the next phase, wrap up and end the day.
Day 61 : The Interal Tree
As the day begins, take one final stock of your resources and head out to the designated location. Starting this mission means you won’t be able to return for a while, so make sure to take all necessary precautions.
Once the Interal Tree comes down, begin climbing up the branch.
Keep ascending, clearing out every Interal in your path. After eliminating them, continue climbing—again and again. Destroy all anomalies along the route as you make your way further up the tree. At the end of each path, keep climbing.

Eventually, you’ll come across a Prism Anomaly. Push through it and climb to the next level.
Clear every anomaly in sight, including all the Prism cores.
Then climb up once more and continue past the anomalies. Finally, you’ll reach the topmost area.
Destroy the Prism anomaly cores as quickly as possible. From there, you’ll be able to see the center.
Clear out every last anomaly and set up the Fragmenting Device.

Then, make your way to the edge of the area.
Back at the base, conditions will be in rough shape. Carry out emergency repairs before ending the day.
Day 62: Final Preparations
A magnetic storm is on its way. First things first—rally everyone in the kitchen for a group discussion.
After the conversation, a plan will be set into motion. You’ll now receive the task: “Final Preparations.” Head out and activate the beacon.
Once the beacon is fired off, you’ll be presented with several choices. “Final Preparations” has two parts: “The Rescue Team” and “The Takeover.” You can choose a violent or non-violent route. You’ll also need to decide between letting Lucas guide the ship or researching an autopilot.
Choose the non-violent approach, and commit to researching both the suit upgrade and the autopilot device.

Later, you’ll receive a call from Lucas.
He’ll ask you to craft the RAT. But if you don’t trust him—or feel it’s too risky—opt to craft the sleeping gas instead. If you’re short on Organics, head out to the outpost to gather more.
Once you’ve collected enough, return to base and speak with the Scientist. He’ll request 10 Polymers. Set up production in the Refinery, and in the meantime, start crafting the sleeping gas.
Before long, the day will come to a close. Call it a night.
Day 63 : The Final Magnetic Storm
Once the Polymers are ready, hand them over to the Scientist.
Agree to let him investigate his theory—but keep in mind, once he leaves, all research will come to a halt. There’s no guarantee he’ll survive the incoming magnetic storm. In the meantime, stock up on Rad Filters and Repair Kits.

If you’re running low on Organics, head out and collect some.
Back at the base, focus on keeping maintenance under control. The Scientist won’t return that night. The Miner will seem like he has something to say, but he won’t talk during the storm. With just two hours left before the storm passes, decide to call it a day.
Day 64 : The Ark Sarcophagus
Start the morning by speaking with the Miner. As expected, he’ll want to talk about the Scientist. You’ll need 40 Rapidium to build the Ark Sarcophagus, so head out to gather it.
While you’re out, the Scientist will return. Head back to base and speak with him.
He’ll have marked some coordinates on your map—follow the path and take his call along the way.

After that, return to base again to talk things through with him.
In the end, choose to support him in pursuing his dream.
Then, begin building the Ark Sarcophagus.
Once that’s done, complete both the Suit Upgrade and the Autopilot device. With everything in place, speak to the Scientist one last time and let him go.
Finally, make your way to the Base Navigation console.
Final Day : Maxwell’s Path
Say goodbye to the remaining Alters—just the last two. That will complete the task: “Last Goodbyes.”
Next, head to the comms room and answer the call. It’ll be Maxwell.
From there, you’ll receive the final task: meet the rescue team. Step outside through the airlock.

During the conversation, use the lessons you’ve learned to convince the rescue team to load the Rapidium arks onto their ship.
Then, set up the sleeping gas onboard.
What follows is the Epilogue.
At the trial, you’ll face a choice: lie and side with the Corporation, or tell the truth. That decision will lead you to the ending known as “Maxwell’s Path.”
That completes the full walkthrough for Act 3 of The Alters.
