Where to Find Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper in Palia
The Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper is one of the new epic bugs in the game that spawn in the forests of the Elderwood map region. The best area to find Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper is the Deep Woods. It is a big forest area on the southeast side of Elderwood. Moreover, the Fallen Aqueduct is another great place to find Will-o-wisp. The Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper is an Epic Rockhopper, so it is relatively harder to find than the common Rockhoppers.
How to Catch Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper in Palia
Catching the Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper is harder than most bugs in Elderwood. Moreover, you can locate it due to its big size and green color. The easiest way to locate it is to listen for the bug sound queues while roaming in the Deep Woods. Upon finding the Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper, use the Smoke Bombs to stun it.
Additionally, stunning the Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper will require multiple Smoke Bombs, so make sure you bring enough to stun it when you find it. If the Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper gets alerted, it will try to flee by jumping in a straight line. It is best to throw the Sticky Smoke Bombs on it to slow it down and then use the regular Smoke Bombs to stun it. Once you have stunned the Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper, go near it and interact with it to pick it up.
NOTE: There is a chance you might run into an infected Will-o-Wisp Rockhopper, which has a darker aura around it. If that happens, you need to use the Elderwood Smoke Bombs instead of regular Smoke Bombs. The Elderwood Smoke Bombs recipe is given by Najuma during the Bugging Out quest.
