Bandai Namco has released Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra on multiple platforms. It’s now available on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. It’s the first free-to-play Dragon Ball title built entirely around team battles.
What are the features in Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra?
It’s a 4vs4 real-time strategy game. At launch, the roster includes 22 characters, with 5 new additions joining the 17 already revealed earlier. The variety is massive, too, with no two characters bringing the same capabilities.
Perfect Form Cell thrives by absorbing enemy Bioenergy, striking from behind to drain his opponents’ strength. Android 17 specialises in defense, shielding allies with barriers and sustaining the fight with endless stamina.
The hitman Hit uses precise attacks and his Fear of Death ability to close in on enemies unseen and deal swift finishing blows. Super Saiyan Kale in her berserk form overwhelms opponents with reckless fury.
Meanwhile, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 bring a tag-team dynamic. They can switch between handling large-scale brawls and focused duels, along with a Special Pose. You can learn more about all the fighters on the official website.
Every fighter falls into one of three roles. Damage dealers focus on pure offensive pressure. Tanks soak up punishment while holding positions. Lastly, technical heroes provide versatile support through boosts and disruptions.
You can mix and match to create squads that balance offense, defense, and strategy. Progression during battles lets characters grow stronger mid-match, unlocking new skills as well.

The first in-game event is now live and runs until September 24th. There are large-scale brawls featuring Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza in his first form, Zamasu, Baby in his young body, alongside the new members.
Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra offers over 300 emotes, skins, entrance animations, and special finishers. You can even team up across platforms, as it fully supports crossplay. Check it out on the Google Play Store.
