Which players come out on top for the American and German leagues? Could it be Messi, Kane, perhaps Debinha in the women’s division? Read on as I unveil the official player ratings.
A new day brings us more EA FC 26 ratings for players from the Bundesliga and American men’s & ladies’ divisions.
It’s common knowledge that in the German league, it’s mostly a one-horse race. Bayern are the team to beat year after year (except for that freak Leverkusen 23/24 title win), and most seasons Bayern have more representatives than any other rival side in the Team of the season/Team of the Year line-ups.
It’s no surprise that with the highest budget for net spend, Bayern clearly have the highest calibre of player amongst their ranks, and this is evident in previous FC titles. Year after year, we see the likes of Kane, Goretzka, Kimmich, and Davies regularly get TOTW cards.
Bayern had the most players in the recent Team Of The Season promo in FC 25 (Six). This means the player ratings standings in FC 26 are, in all likelihood, a Bayern fest, with most (if not all) of their starting 11 in or around the top 20 player ratings.
Onto the MLS, and whilst all eyes will be on Inter Miami’s little Argentine maestro Lionel Messi, Uruguay’s pitbull Luis Suarez, and the Spanish World Cup-winning duo of Busquets and Alba. Inter Miami have had some mixed fortunes of late. A respectable showing in FIFA’s club world reminded the world how Messi and co can still have some moments of magic, rolling back the years.
In the league, Inter Miami are presently down in sixth place, and it’s looking like a tough ask to repeat last season’s success.
Other MLS players to look out for could be Wilfried Zaha, Hirving Lozano (always a speed demon in previous games), Josef Martinez (strikes me as a really fun player to use during the first few weeks), Tottenham Hotspur’s South Korean hero Son, German legend Thomas Múller, and lastly, Argentina’s Rodrigo De Paul should all command respectable ratings.
My Personal Top 5 MLS
- Son Hueng Min – Didn’t have his strongest showing at Spurs last season, and Son appears to have lost a yard of pace, but if he maintains his rating, then he may just eclipse Messi as the highest-rated player. At an outlay of $20million (possibly an MLS record), one would expect Son to be the marquee player.
- Lionel Messi – Perhaps a shock to some, but Messi is a good 4/5 years older than Son, and I see this reflected in the ratings. Even so, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see Lionel still on top in the ratings war. 27 goal contributions in just 19 games is mighty impressive given he’s now 38.
- Rodrigo De Paul – Inter Miami’s loan signing of De Paul came as a surprise. De Paul is an all-round beast in FC 25 and remains in his prime years. De Paul will be a popular choice for MLS-centred sides.
- Thomas Múller – Never a popular choice in-game, I literally haven’t seen him in one team. Still, this doesn’t take away from the fact his rating start point (coming from an 82) will probably still (just) be higher than a lot of other players in the league.
- Wilfried Zaha – An incredibly fun card to use in previous years, 5* skills, and plenty of speed with impressive left stick dribbling. Zaha has settled into the MLS respectfully, with 12 goal contributions in 26 games.

I did it, I bucked my previous trend of three and correctly predicted four (I’m getting better at this)! In fairness, the ratings seem justified. Son was always going to have a slight nerf after his average season, but Messi is still posting ridiculous numbers for his age.
As for the Bundesliga, it could be argued it’s a slight surprise not seeing Kane or Musiala on top, but I don’t see any glaringly obvious omissions here.
