A Moth to a Flame is a main story quest for Hades in Disney Dreamlight Valley: Storybook Vale expansion. It is exclusive to the owners of the Storybook Vale expansion. Players will be able to pursue this quest once they get access to The Fiery Plains area of the Mythopia biome. This guide will walk you through A Moth to a Flame quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete A Moth to a Flame Quest – Walkthrough
Starting the Quest
To initiate A Moth to a Flame quest, you will have to unlock The Fiery Plains area of the Mythopia biome. It is one of the next areas from The Elysian Fields and requires 5,000 Story Magic to unlock. Go to the entrance of The Fiery Plains and interact with the Wall of Ink to spend 5,000 Story Magic and unlock the area. Once done, A Moth to a Flame quest will trigger automatically.
Take a picture of the mysterious flames
Upon starting the quest, make your way towards the mysterious flames blocking the path ahead to a gazebo. Equip the camera and take a picture of the flames. After that, speak with Hades and go through the dialogues.
Speak with Lorekeeper Book about Sacred Spring’s location
After speaking with Hades, go to the Lorekeeper Book and speak with her. Tell her about what Hades said about the Sacred Spring. She will tell you that she holds the story about Sacred Spring but you will have to restore it first.
Gather the following Snippets
Gather the following Snippets to unlock the story about Sacred Spring.
- 10x Red Bird Snippet: You can find them in the Library of Lore area (The Bind).
- 5x Pink Demon Snippet: You can find them in the Elysian Fields and Fiery Plains areas (Mythopia).
- 2x Blue Demon Snippet: You can find them in the Fiery Plains and Fallen Fortress areas (Mythopia).
Use the Royal Nest tool to catch all of these Snippets. For the Pink Demon and Blue Demon Snippets, you will have to chase after them a few times before you finally catch them.
Restore Aurora and the Sacred Spring Story
After gathering the snippets, go back to the Lorekeeper book. Interact with her and select the “Aurora and the Sacred Spring” story. Now, solve the puzzle by placing all the snippets correctly.
Find the Sacred Spring
Upon restoring the story, it will reveal the hidden location of Sacred Spring. The hidden location is in the Fiery Plains area of the Mythopia biome. You can find it behind the water pool by going to the left side and interacting with a large pile of flowers and bushes. Once done, go over to the Sacred Spring and interact with it. A vial will come out of it, pick it up.
Speak with Hades and Gather the Items
After picking up the vial, go to Hades and tell him about your discovery. Go through the dialogues and then you will get the objective of gathering the following items.
- 5x Crimson Eternal Poppies: You can find this flower in the Elysian Fields and Mount Olympus areas of the Mythopia biome.
- 3x Magma: You can mine this gem by mining the nodes in all the areas of the Mythopia biome.
- 2x Hippocampus: You can catch this fish from the White Ripples (bubbles) in all the areas of the Mythopia biome.
Craft the Watering Can Potion
After gathering all the items, go to any crafting station and craft the Watering Can Potion. You can find its recipe under the Potion & Enchantment tab of the crafting station. Once done, open the inventory and use the Watering Can Potion.
Remove the Mysterious Flames and Enter the Mythic Trial in the Fiery Plains
Now, go to the Mysterious Flames blocking the path location and use the Watering Can tool to remove them. After removing them, equip the Royal Nest and swing it on the lever to open the portal to the Mythic Trial.
Opening the portal to Mythic Trial in the Fiery Plains will conclude the A Moth to a Flame quest. Completing the quest will reward you with 600 Friendship Points.
