The Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Championship is the highlight of the esports betting calendar, run by EA and Respawn Entertainment. In 2025, it’s heading to Sapporo, Japan and we can’t wait for players and fans to experience it live.
Tournament Info and Structure
In 2025 the ALGS Championship is the biggest esports event in Apex Legends. Taking place offline in Sapporo, Japan from Jan 29 to Feb 2 at the Daiwa House PREMIST DOME. 40 teams will be competing for a $2,000,000 USD prize pool, making it a major event in the ALGS Circuit. Matches will be played on 3 maps—World’s Edge, Storm Point and E-District—presenting varied gameplay scenarios.
The competition has 3 stages: Group Stage, Bracket Stage and Finals. Group Stage is from January 28 to January 30, 40 teams are divided into 4 groups of 10. Each group plays a round-robin, each team plays 18 matches across 3 series. Performance ranking will determine advancement, top 20 teams will move to Winners Bracket and the bottom 20 to Losers Bracket 1.
Bracket Stage starts on January 31 with Losers Bracket 1, the 20 lowest ranked teams from Group Stage play a single series. The top 10 teams move to Losers Bracket 2, bottom 10 are eliminated. On February 1, the Winners Bracket had the 20 highest-ranked teams from Group Stage. The top 10 teams go directly to the Finals, and the bottom 10 join Losers Bracket 2 with Losers Bracket 1 survivors. The top 10 from this round go to the Finals, rest are eliminated.
February 2 is the Finals, Match Point format. Teams earn points based on performance, they need to get 50 points and win a match to become champions. The final ranking for other teams will be based on total points.
