-
Spirit are favored to win, but Astralis are better value for money: Spirit are large favorites in the Final, but Astralis’ current run can’t be overlooked.
-
Astralis must neutralize donk’s impact for Spirit if they’re to have any chance of victory here.
Astralis vs. Spirit Final Preview
Fans might be a little shocked to see Astralis in the Final of PGL Astana 2025, given it’s their first event with HooXi, but Spirit’s presence will surprise no one. They’re the favorites to win this one, no doubt, with the Danes of Astralis on the back foot from the word “go.”
- Spirit have been involved in two Finals prior to PGL Astana this year, winning one and losing one.
- This is Astralis’ first Grand Final in over five years.
The last time these teams played was back in February, when Spirit dominated Astralis across two maps at IEM Katowice 2025. That was cadiaN’s Astralis, so it’s difficult to judge how the adaptations HooXi has made will help them in this series.
This year, only Spirit has won a trophy out of these two teams. They won BLAST Bounty Season 1 to kick off the year, but have been on a dry streak since. That’s nothing compared to Astralis, whose last trophy came during the online era.

Predictions for the PGL Astana 2025 Final
The PGL Astana 2025 Final CS2 odds are very much in favor of a Spirit win, and with good reason. Although they haven’t exactly lit up PGL Astana, the players on Spirit are just much better on paper than what Astralis have to offer. That means that Spirit doesn’t exactly represent great betting value, though.
For Astralis, tackling donk will be the primary task ahead. If HooXi and his men can find a way to neuter Spirit’s rifler (as so many before have tried and failed), then that is the only route to victory for Astralis.

Because the PGL Astana 2025 Final is a best-of-five series, the map pool should be fairly straightforward. Spirit will ban Inferno, and Astralis will ban Anubis. This will be a solid blow to both teams, but they have fairly deep map pools beyond this, regardless.
If you’re taking part in CS2 betting for the PGL Astana Final, then try and play the odds in your favor. Spirit are favorites, so betting on them outright probably won’t net you much return. They have however looked weak at times, which is why this one might go the distance in a five-map affair. The odds on Over 4.5 maps are worth a look, while it may even be worth considering bets for players you think will overperform in the Final.
