The CDL 2025: Stage 2 Major Qualifiers is a high-level esport. Competitors face off in Black Ops 6, the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise. From Feb 14 – March 16, 2025, 12 teams from around the world. Matches follow a 4v4 structure, emphasizing fast-paced gameplay and strategic decision-making. Each team plays 7 games, all teams advance to Minor 2 and Major 2 regardless of win or loss. Winning a game gets you 10 CDL points, affects overall league standing and adds strategy.
Tournament Info and Format
The map pool is Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Control. Hardpoint matches occur on Hacienda, Protocol, Red Card, Rewind, Skyline, and Vault maps. Search and Destroy uses the same map selection, while Control is played on Hacienda, Protocol, and Vault. Teams need to be adaptable and precise across all maps. Hacienda is a map we all know, Vault is a new map that will challenge teams to innovate and react fast.
Teams participating are Atlanta FaZe, Boston Breach, Carolina Royal Ravens, Cloud9 New York, Los Angeles Guerrillas M8, Los Angeles Thieves, Miami Heretics, Minnesota RØKKR, OpTic Texas, Toronto Ultra, Vancouver Surge, and Vegas Falcons. Each game affects CDL standing and momentum going into the next stages. With global teams, flexible format and big stakes, this will be good games for players and viewers.
