CS2 2024-2025 roster shuffle: All player moves, signings, updates, and more

CS2 roster shuffle season is upon us, and teams are getting started early.

The 2024 CS2 season is coming to a close. Following the Shanghai Major, teams will have a month or two to rest up and prepare for the new year. However, a few top squads won’t be returning in 2025 with the same personnel, with many teams opting for a roster shuffle.

Here’s a look at every major CS2 roster shuffle post-2024 season. A few squads started early following their eliminations from the Shanghai Major!

We’ve sorted the roster moves chronologically, with the most recent moves at the top of this list. Be sure to check back regularly for the latest!

Dec. 28: Liquid has benched YEKINDAR. The Latvian entry rifler, who fell into a slump throughout his tenure with Liquid, is now open to offers.

Dec. 27: Former G2 in-game leader HooXi announces he is ready to return to Counter-Strike. His contract with his old team officially ends on January 1.

Dec. 27: Following his reveal as HLTV’s #19 for 2024, EliGE all but confirmed he would depart Complexity and head to Europe. “I’m going to have to manage being in a new situation potentially, but that is part of the game and I feel like now is the time to do it,” he said.

“I have had a long career, but I have never played on an EU team with the best players in the world, so it is also something really exciting for me to be able to experience and learn from,” he added. “There will be some discomfort being in a new environment, but also a lot of excitement from the potential.”

Dec. 23: In a shock move, Vitality is set to acquire ropz from FaZe Clan according to HLTV and neL sources. This ends ropz’s nearly four-year stint at FaZe.
Dec. 23: KaiR0N- officially departs BetBoom (bench), forms P0RTUGAL with NickelBack, X5G7V, synyx, danistzz.

Dec. 21: BIG have benched rigoN, while rumors suggest syrsoN will also be moved on from the German organization.

Dec. 18: FlyQuest have benched Australian AWPer aliStair. According to HLTV sources, the squad is eager to search overseas prospects rather than committing to a five-man team from Oceania.

Dec. 5: Lack1 is released from Aurora. Former Virtus.pro coach XomA takes over head coaching role after three months as assistant to brain.

Nov. 28: Deko departs Aurora; announces a break from competitive play.

Nov. 26: KaiR0N- and nafany are removed from BetBoom after the squad failed to qualify for the Shanghai Major.

Nov. 11: The Shanghai Major RMR qualifiers begin.
