Cyberpunk 2077 has received yet another patch at the end of its life, with this one updating the popular AutoDrive feature, making it act more like a human.
While Cyberpunk 2077 was a mess at launch, the patches it has received over the years have drastically improved the quality of the game, especially when The Phantom Liberty DLC was released. Nowadays, Cyberpunk 2077 feels like the game that was promised at launch, even if the odd bug does sneak in there.
The previous Cyberpunk 2077 update added AutoDrive, allowing players to set a location and have the car move there on its own. This was a surprisingly beloved feature, as it gave fans a chance to appreciate the beauty and size of Night City. The official Cyberpunk 2077 has announced Patch 2.31, which boosts the AutoDrive option.
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.31 Notes
The biggest change in Patch 2.31 is an update to AutoDrive, which now has a more realistic feel. When driving, the vehicle’s movement is smoother, they’ll overtake cars, and won’t stop at traffic lights. The Free Roam mode also follows the traffic rules more, because that’s what Runners care about most: following the highway code.
The rest of the changes in Cyberpunk 2077’s Patch 2.31 update are focused around bug fixes and resolving issues with the missions. The Photo Mode also needed some tweaks, with certain poses not working correctly before. The game might have been out for five years, but there are still parts that need fixing.
With Cyberpunk 2 on the way and many of the original game’s issues fixed, most fans assumed that it was the end for Cyberpunk 2077, and that the developers were ready to move on. It seems there’s still some juice in the tank, and that more content could come along, though it likely won’t be anything major.
