Betting Markets (What Can You Bet On)

Dota 2 eSports betting features many market options which include that of the match winner to very specific bets on heroes. By familiarizing yourself with these options you improve the game for yourself and as a result you are able to make more informed and rewarding wagers on professional tournaments.

Match Winner

Bet on which team will win a specific match. This is the most popular market, with odds based on team performance, roster changes and tournament status. Upsets can happen so underdog bets can be rewarding for risk takers.

Map Winner

Dota 2 matches are best-of format, so individual maps can be bet on. You can bet on which team will win a particular map, considering their drafting strategies, historical performance on that map and current in-game meta data.

Total Maps Played

Bet whether a match will be a clean sweep or go the distance. For best-of-three or best-of-five series, bet on whether the game will finish in two, three or more maps. Often you’ll be analyzing team consistency in long series.

First Blood

Wagering on the first team to get the first kill in a game. This type of market is based on early aggression, lane fights, and pick/ban selection. Teams that have skills in aggressive starts make this a thrilling and risky bet.

Total Kills Over/Under

Gamblers can bet on the number of kills in a match, whether the kill total will be over or under a predetermined figure. Fast-paced matches result in higher kills, and slower, more strategic games tend to have fewer eliminations.

Roshan Kills

Roshan, Dota 2’s powerful neutral creep, rewards game-altering benefits on death. Bookmakers can bet on which side gets Roshan first or how many Roshan kills take place in total. Sides with superior early-game control tend to pursue Roshan objectives aggressively.

Net Worth Lead After X Minutes

Bet on the team that has a gold lead during certain time periods of the match. This indicates early-game aggression, farm proficiency, and strategic play. Other teams are great at quick economic expansion, so they are good bets for this kind of bet.

Tournament Champion

Long-term wagers on the total tournament champion. Bookies examine lineups, previous performances, bracket position and pre-tournament scrims. More pays this market but demands more analysis on team stability and possible setbacks throughout the event.

Exact Scoreline

Predicting the exact match result in the form of map victories and defeats (e.g. 2-1, 2-0). This includes knowing team power, play and possibility of commanding or hard-fought games, therefore a more dangerous bet to make.

Special Prop Bets

One-of-a-kind markets are wagers on hero selections, whether a match will last longer than a specified amount of time or whether a player will achieve a record-breaking milestone like ultra-kills or rampages. These are the types of markets for spectators who are extremely knowledgeable about Dota 2 eSports.

Favorite Teams and Historical Results

Past performance dictates dreams for DreamLeague Season 26 and some franchises arrive with new names and handsome payouts that bolster their favorite label in analysts’ and fans’ perceptions.

Paravision began the year 2025 by clinching ESL One Raleigh, taking the championship and $250,000. That commanding streak illustrated that they have the ability to finish high-stakes finals and evolve through prolonged series.

BetBoom Team did that again at FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 in 2025, winning $250,000 too. Their tidy playoff campaign there was a demonstration of controlled macro play and counter-drafting meta favorites.

Team Falcons made the respect last season by winning DreamLeague Season 24 in 2024 for $300,000. Their victory confirmed them as LAN specialists who deal with the demanding DreamLeague format nicely.

Team Liquid supplemented silverware in 2025 with their triumph in PGL Wallachia Season 3, winning $300,000. Their approach in that tournament demonstrated the team is capable of converting small objective leads into series-clinching advantages.

Tundra Esports took the BLAST Slam II in 2025, earning $300,000 and demonstrating they are still a postseason contender. Their road to victory involved intentional vision control and game-ending composure.
