Throughout Ghost Of Yotei Atsu will be traveling through northern Japan, on a revenge mission to avenge her murdered family from many years earlier. With a task as big as this one, she’ll need not only the right tools but also the right weapons to get the job done. In Ghost of Yotei, all weapons have their own special abilities, providing different tactics. Here are all the weapons in Ghost of Yotei and how to unlock them.
Katana
– All-around blade that is strong against enemy sword users. Focuses more on precision –
Unlocked from the Start
Dual Katanas
– A more offensive kit that focuses much more on heavy attacks when compared to the single Katana. Best used against spear-wielding enemies.-
Complete The Way of the Dual Katana Quest, taught by Master Hanbei.
Odachi
– Heavy two-handed katanas that focus on much heavier strikes than the dual katanas. Best used against larger enemies –
Earned during the Saito Brothers quest, taught by Master Yoshida.
Yari
– Spears that have a longer reach in combat –
Earned during the Oni questline, taught by the Yari Master
Kusarigama
– Ball and chain sickle, most effective with enemies who have shields –
Earned during the Kitsune questline
Kunai

Earned during
the Burning of Castle Ishikari. Must buy Kunai from Hana the Kunai Artisan.
Smoke Bomb
–
Earned during the The Tale of the Kitsune Questline. Given by Oyuki.

Metsubushi
– Blinds enemies –
Defeat Crow Genzo
Tanzutsu
– Firearm that deals burst damage –
Earned during the
Saito Brothers questline. Complete Guns and Consequences quest.
Oni Flame –
Covers equipped weapon in flames

questline. Must progress through Twin Wolves, Twin Heart, to earn from Mad Goro.
Scorch Bomb
– Explosive bomb –
Earned during the
Bomb Maker quest, taught by Ina
Blind Bomb
– Flashbangs enemies –
Earned during the Fighting Fire with Fire questline.
Hankyu
– Half bow with easy mobility but low range and accuracy –
Finish the Old Inn Quest and buy from Ran the Bowyer.
Yumi
– Heavy bow that deals massive damage but takes time to charge –
Finish the Old Inn Quest and buy from Ran the Bowyer.
Tanegashima Matchlock
– Flint rifle that pierces armor and deals heavy burst damage but comes with a long reload time –
Earned during the
Saito Brothers questline. Earn during The Storm Breaks quest
