The EMEA Masters Winter 2025 championship, conducted by Riot Games, will be hosted online in Europe between March 17, 2025, and March 23, 2025. Sixteen teams from the National Leagues will earn spots by performing well during the Winter 2025 season.
Tournament structure
The event begins first with a group stage that welcomes 16 qualified teams. They’ll all compete around this stage before the results determine which proceed to subsequent rounds. Four groups, each with four teams, will be in a GSL format. All group matches will employ the Fearless Draft rules and will be contested as a best-of-three series. The best two teams from each group will proceed to the playoffs.
Playoffs will feature 8 teams in a single elimination format. Every game in the playoffs will be played in a best-of-five series, staying with the Fearless Draft rules. Teams will need to adapt fast to succeed under these conditions. The format encourages tactical decisions and strategic depth; teams will need to be consistent and adaptable.
The Fearless Draft rules prevent any champion from being picked more than once by a team within the same series, providing an additional level of complexity to the draft process.
