Top Indie Game Releases of October 2025, Part 2 – GTOGG’s Curated Picks – GTOGG

October continues to be a good time for indie games – from limb-cutting, Resident Evil-inspired madness to surreal, otherworldly shenanigans, you’re bound to find something truly unique and exceptional in this month’s indie/non-mainstream lineup. Check out our personal picks below to see which mid-October releases we found the most interesting!

Missed Part 1? No problem! Check it out here!

The Lacerator (October 9)

A survival horror game inspired by trashy 80s grindhouse, The Lacerator follows the demented adventures of porn star Max, who gets kidnapped by a psychopathic serial killer and must escape his trap-laden hideout – either with or without his limbs intact. (You can read our review here.)

Beacon of Neyda (October 9)

A side-scrolling pixel art strategy game where you need to build up and maintain your base while protecting it from continuous waves of enemies. Which isn’t quite as easy as it sounds, apparently.

Undusted: Letters from the Past (October 13)

A chill casual game about cleaning up dirty and discarded items, but there’s more to it than just that – by restoring these abandoned bits and bobs, you also learn the unique backstory behind each piece and uncover memories of the past.

Spindle (October 13)

A pixel art action-adventure with quite a fantastical premise – you wake up in a foreign land, realizing two things: #1, that you’re Death, and #2, that this is a world where people can no longer die. Intriguing? Very much so.

Mohrta (October 14)

Mohrta is a game we tried during Steam Next Fest quite a while ago, and we thought it was unlike anything we had seen up to that point. Needless to say, we came away pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it and its surreal landscapes.

GlitchSPANKR (October 15)

In this utterly chaotic comedy-adventure, you’re a young boy in the 90s trying to install a forbidden game on the family PC. However, when a crazy virus gets out of control, you grab your trusty antivirus software, the GlitchSPANKR, and proceed to… spank things into submission, all the while exploring a variety of corrupted digital worlds where every level plays differently. This one most certainly promises to be a wild ride.

BALL x PIT (October 15)

A brick-breaking roguelite, BALL x PIT combines the fast-paced action of endlessly ricocheting balls with base-building elements, creating something I don’t think I’ve seen before. Which is always great.

Don’t worry, we’re not done with the month yet! Stay tuned for Part 3 to see which awesome indie games will be worth keeping an eye on in late October! See you then!
